Jude's pictures from New Mexico Skies

Jude was using her Canon EOS 7D with a 10 - 85mm lens mounted on a tripod.

For all of these images (except the star trails) if you hover your mouse over the image you'll get an anotated version showing the constellations and any interesting objects.

This first image is a very nice shot of the milky way in the area of Cygnus.

There are a lot of stars visible in this image, shot at ISO 3200 and F3.5 for 33 seconds (it has had curves applied in Photoshop).

The next shot is of the Sagittarius and Scorpius regions of the centre of the milky way and this has captured a surprising number of the Messier objects (see if you can spot some of them before you do the mouseover). Again shot at ISO 3200 and F3.5 for about 30 seconds (it has also had curves applied in Photoshop).
